5. Round7Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
It was back to the old faithfuls of Thunderkarts for Round 7 at Buckmore. A small entry of only 14 Karts saw some excelent racing and a few incidents that left one driver nursing a bruised hand ( this willhappenif you inspect under the tyre wall at speed). Results on the evening have set up the final race of the season with everything to play with all positions in the Championship up for grabs. First hoome on the evening was
J' Jumble with FEV Lion TT getting their best finish of the season to date with a 2nd. In 3rd was DT Racing after a penalty imposed for only 3 drivers dropped them 2 places. First home in the Clubman Class was Thompson's picking up their first trophy of the season.

5. Round 5 Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
Round 5 again saw the circus back at Buckmore but this time on a wet track and the hint of more rain...... Practice was interesting with many teams finding where the grip was (and in many cases where not). A mixed field of experienced and novice karters meant an interesting night ahead. However, the rain clouds cleared soon after the start and the lap times started to get quicker culminating with I'm Lovin it getting the best of the evening with a 50.411second lap in the latter part of the race. Honours this time out went to J's Jumble with DT Racing just 15 seconds down the track. In a respectable 3rd with another podium finish came FEV Ford Squad. In the Clubman Class Odds & Sods 2 are starting to make a real impression as they took the class win and a respectable 9th on track.

A tremendous evening of racing with fast but fair competition enjoyed by all

4. Round 4 Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
Round 4 saw us back at the familiar circuit of Buckmore on a bright warm summers evening. Just right for good karting. A reasonable field of 18 karts took to the circuits with a number of new teams to teh series and in some cases Karting generally. A fire at hairpin 1 on one of the novice karts disrupted the 2 half of practice meaning that with the yellows out flying laps were disrupted so the earlier times were the better. DT took the pole and that set the tone of the evening.... DT Racing led the field home and with fastest lap as well took all the points available. Coming in 2nd with an excellent race was FEV Ford Squad just piping J's Jumble to that place by 0.6 seconds (really close racing). There were battles throughout the field and the new teams were led home by Shy Tall Knight who also had an excellent inaugral race.
A great time was had by all and there was some good competitive karting though the whole race . Well done to all concerned.

3. Round 3 Race (Lydd) ~ Club 100 TKM Karts
Round 3 saw Karting Challenge on a track many drivers had yet to experience and for those that had there was running 'the wrong way round' to give a little extra to the day. So not only was there the 'buzz' of the 2 strokes but there was the novelty of the circuit. A vey hot day was unusual especially on a Bank Holiday Monday but everyone was eager for the experience. There were a number of 1~off teams making up the numbers for this particular race with a few of the regulars not able to get along. The results include the 'Non Championship teams' (NCT's) but the standings reflect the regular teams positions with respect to Championship points.

Confidence was high in the J's Jumble team who played their Joker even though 2 stroke racing can be unpredictable This confidence showed immediately and practice saw them on pole and it was a lights to flag victory with the extra bonus of fastest lap thrown in. In 4th Place on track but 2nd in the championship class behind 2 NCT's came DT Racing and 6th on track 3rd in Class were McDude McRacing.

A terrific day's racing and the August event with Club 100 back at Buckmore is eagerly awaited

2. Round 2 Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
Round 2 saw a WET race and some very good driving that went with good racing. 16 teams braved the elements that saw the evening begining the briefing with a dry track but before practice a fully wet track was in evidence.
Congratulation goes to DT racing for a win from first lap to flag and also judging it right with the Joker to pick up maximum points. J's Jumble were a valiant 2nd but a lap down with McDude McRacing a further 1/2 a lap back in 3rd
New team Team Pathetic took the honours in Clubmanfollowed in by Odds & Sods a lap down with NVH Monkeys taking 3rd in class.

1. Round 1 Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
Congratulations go to J's Jumble for the first win of the 2008 series. Cold but dry conditions met the teams at Buckmore for the first round and it wasn't too long before everyone was 'back in the groove.' Although a small field first time out there was some very close racing and a simple driver change would drop teams 5 places on the leader board. So close was it that the top 3 teams all finished on the same lap and top 8 teams wer spread over only 4 laps. As said J's Jumble took the inaugral win followed home by FEV Ford Squad and DT Racing in that order. Clerk of the Course Phil Ling said it was ' probably one of the easiest races I've ever had' so well done to everyone concerned.
