8. Round 7 Race
(Rye House) ~ GT2 Karts
Back at Rye for the final
race of the year at this circuit again with it still being just in the holiday
season we saw a smaller field than usual. It was back to usual however with
the front runners of the two divisions flexing their muscles althogh in this
race mechanical failure did affect the races of a number of teams. First home
and back to the top as usual came DT Racing followed home by top Clubman
Racing Sumos. Third in the race and second in Championship Class came
FEV Lion TT with the next Clubman FEV Ford Squad I taking
fourth. Fifth and Sixth respectively came McDude McRacing and Ford
Squad II taking the third places in their divisions.

7. Round 6 (Buckmore Park) ~ Thunderkarts
Round 6 saw a small field as teams were reduced
through holiday and other commitments. This allowed some teams to take full
advantage of a reduced field and weakened teams. This race saw the usual front
runners looking into the exhaust of other teams. First home for their first
win of the season eas J's Jumble
with a new team of No Brakes coming in second. In the third position
came the Clubman front runner in the form of FEV Ford Squad I with the fourth
team DT Racing taking the third Championship place. Racing Sumos and I'm Lovin
it took the next 2 places and the remaining Clubman podium positions. A very
exciting and competitive race although small in numbers it made up for it with
good racing.

Round 5 Race Data
Round 5 saw Karting Challenge back at Buckmore
for a welcome return to Thunderkarts. A 22 kart grid saw 3 classes of racers
with teams from the University of Surrey joining the Challenge. Good racing
was seen throughout the field and was reflected in the finishing positions.
For the UniS teams Which Way Now
took the top spot with WYG second and a creditable third went to
Pillinger Pitstops. In Clubman Class we saw the welcome return to winning
ways of Racing Sumos coming an excellent second on track and leading
the Clubman contingent home. Ford Squad 2 narrowly led home the other
Ford Squad team both being on lap 130 at the end of the race. In Championship
DT Racing continues to dominate the series with yet another victory

3. Round 2 Race (Rye House) ~ New Venue
New GT2 Karts
After a break of over 7 years Karting Challenge
returned to Rye House for an evening championship round. Mortorsport World as
they are now known responded with a brand new fleet of karts and an improved
facilities package. The track was therefore new to a lot of the drivers who
have not driven the circuit other than the 2 stroke event last year. The GT2's
were very close in performance and there was close racing throughout the field.
Penalties for lack of full driver compliment did affect a number of teams on
the night which they may rue later on in the season. Honours for the race went
to McDude McRacing who led home
the Championship teams followed by 2nd on circuit and top Clubman team Ford
Squad I. Lion TT and Racing Snakes took 2nd and 3rd places in Championship
class respectively while Racing Sumos and Cannonballers took
the two podium positions in Clubman. Fastest Lap and on Pole were DT Racing
but penalties cost them dearly (4 Laps!!!). A great evening was had by all,
even the weather was kind to us and stayed dry. We look forward to returning
to Rye in June.

1. Round 1 Race (Buckmore) ~ NEW Thunderkarts
Congratulations to DT
Racing for the Round 1 win in the 2007series and picking up the fastest
lap of the race in the newly out of the box Thunderkarts. DT also took the other
bonus point with the first pole of the season. There was close racing throughout
the 15 Kart field and very little seperated the top teams in both classes. A
couple of new teams were in evidence with O&S racing and DKDC Racing joining
us. We also welcome back the Racing
Snakes who have joined us again after a few years break Gran
Turismo had an excellent first
showing in the Championship class having obtained promotion last year and McDude
McRacing took the other podium position in Championship Class. Racing
Sumos led home the Clubman contingent followed by Kamakazi Racing
and Ford Squad I. Good enjoyable racing all round ........
