First home and back to the top as usual came DT Racing followed home by top Clubman Racing Sumos. Third in the race and second in Championship Class came FEV Lion TT with the next Clubman FEV Ford Squad I taking fourth. Fifth and Sixth respectively came McDude McRacing and Ford Squad II taking the third places in their divisions.

7. Round 6 (Buckmore Park) ~ Thunderkarts
Round 6 saw a small field as teams were reduced through holiday and other commitments. This allowed some teams to take full advantage of a reduced field and weakened teams. This race saw the usual front runners looking into the exhaust of other teams. First home for their first win of the season eas J's Jumble with a new team of No Brakes coming in second. In the third position came the Clubman front runner in the form of FEV Ford Squad I with the fourth team DT Racing taking the third Championship place. Racing Sumos and I'm Lovin it took the next 2 places and the remaining Clubman podium positions. A very exciting and competitive race although small in numbers it made up for it with good racing.

3. Round 2 Race (Rye House) ~ New Venue New GT2 Karts
After a break of over 7 years Karting Challenge returned to Rye House for an evening championship round. Mortorsport World as they are now known responded with a brand new fleet of karts and an improved facilities package. The track was therefore new to a lot of the drivers who have not driven the circuit other than the 2 stroke event last year. The GT2's were very close in performance and there was close racing throughout the field. Penalties for lack of full driver compliment did affect a number of teams on the night which they may rue later on in the season. Honours for the race went to McDude McRacing who led home the Championship teams followed by 2nd on circuit and top Clubman team Ford Squad I. Lion TT and Racing Snakes took 2nd and 3rd places in Championship class respectively while Racing Sumos and Cannonballers took the two podium positions in Clubman. Fastest Lap and on Pole were DT Racing but penalties cost them dearly (4 Laps!!!). A great evening was had by all, even the weather was kind to us and stayed dry. We look forward to returning to Rye in June.
