7. Would anyone be interested in driving in a 12 hr Endurance team this time next year??? Having spent a great time racing against works teams from Williams, Renault and BAR up at Daytona's 1350m circuit on Friday an Saturday amongst others I wondered how many others from KC would be interested. Please let me know as we would need to book early. Cost would be in the region of £275 each in a 6 man team (inclusive of overnight accommodationin a good hotel, evening meal an a full breakfast). Equipment was good, racing hard and furious and company excellent. Join me next year as I certainly want to go back....

6.Round 5 Race (Buckmore) ~ CLUB 390 Pro Kart Although it huffed and puffed the rain kept away and we had another warm evening of racing. Congratulations must go to Gran Turismo who put in a faultless performance and not only took the Clubman Class win but also the race itself. Second past the post but 3/4 of a lap down (32.95s) came the winner of Championship Class Stallions. Repeating the pattern of the top 2 positions in the race, 3rd in the race and 2nd in Clubman Class came MAG 4 followed by 4th in the race, 2nd in Championship Class J's Jumble. The next 2 positions in the race came McDude McRacing, 3rd in Championship and then ANL Tamfelt for the 3rd Clubman position. 5 Jokers were played and theall but 1 had top 3 positions in their class! Obviously good times to cash in on a small field and strong teams... Fastest lap went to J's Jumble for the extra point with a 49.436s lap an MAG 4 had pole taking th other point on offer. Well done to all podium teams.

5.Round 4 Race (Rye House) ~ Club100
TKM Karts On a lovely warm summers afternoon
the really hot stuff was out on the Rye House track where our annual 2 stroke
race was enjoyed by all. Although we struggled for numbers (hence some unfamiliar
names in the race data i.e. non Karting Challenge teams put in by Club 100 to
make up the numbers) the racing was enjoyable and Karting Challenge drivers
were to be congratulated for the skill and control in unfamiliar equipment.
Incidents were minor in nature after the initial spate of over driving in strange
equipment who's characteristics were so different and on a strange track that
had to be learnt. Well done to all concerned.
Congratulations goes to this round's winner Flying Leathernecks II
for a pole to finish victory plus fastest lap at 42.15 (on a joker round as
well means maximum points!!)in second place came a very creditable API
Lion TT and third were Stallions seeking a back to back win from
Round 4. In Clubman we saw the order home as Gran Turism, Mag4
and the final podium spot going to I'm lovin it. Well done to all podium
teams

4.Round 3 Race (Buckmore) ~ CLUB 390 Pro Kart Congratulations go to The Stallions for their first outright race win and of course top spot on the Championship Class podium. In a closely fought race The Stallions led home McDude McRacing and GPL. The top top 5 teams were all on the same lap and only 30 seconds seperated them all. A special mention goes to DT Racing who led the race, took a 2 Lap penalty, retook the lead to loose it through a puncture in the final few laps. The top 2 teams ith jokers played enjoyed a very succesful race. Clubman Class saw MAG4 take their first Class win 1 lap ahead of joker playing Racing Sumos and Gran Turismo taking the 3rd spot. All in all a great race in the new karts..................

3. Round 2 Race (Buckmore) ~ Thunderkarts
DT Racing
get 2 on the bounce with another fine race.
Flying Leathernecks II got their
first podium of the season with a solid 2nd place in Championship Class. KFF
took the final podium position in the class just 5 seconds behind the 'necks'.
Another fine race back in Thunders was completed by Racing
Sumos who not only led home the Clubman
teams but got a very commendable 4th overall race position. Gran
Turismo continued their good start
to the season with a solid second in class with ANL
Tamfelt also finishing in the Class
top 3 for the second consecutive race. Pole went to the 'necks' with a 48.845
and DT had fastest lap with a 48.044.
Another great night of racing
although some teams did suffer from the usual Thunders exhaust problems .......

2. Round 1 Race (Buckmore) ~ NEW 390
Pro Karts
Congratulations to DT
Racing for the Round 1 win in the 2006 series and picking up the fastest
lap of the race in mixed conditions i.e.cold and mainly wet. J's Jumble
took the other bonus point with the first pole of the season. There was close
racing throughout the 24 Kart field and very little seperated the top teams
in both classes. New teams were in evidence with GPL having an excellent first
showing in the series with a 3rd place. McDude
McRacing took the other podium position in Championship Class. Gran
Turismo led home the Clubman contingent followed by ANL Tamfelt and
Kamakazi Racing. Good enjoyable racing all round in difficult conditions..............

1. REVISED DATES TO MAY & JUNE ROUNDS
Due to Club 100 karts not being available
in May the dates of the May round has moved to 11th May with a 4 stroke round
at Buckmore and the June round is now 18th June at Rye House at Hoddesdon with
the Club 100 2 stroke equipment.
